Ceroba Ketsukane is one of the non-playable major characters in Undertale Yellow


Ceroba is a fox monster who resides in the Dunes in Undertale Yellow. She is the widow of Chujin Ketsukane and the mother of Kanako Ketsukane. Ceroba is also the childhood friend of Starlo. Most interactions with her take place in the Pacifist route of Undertale Yellow.

When first meeting her in Undertale Yellow in the Pacifist Route, you find her in the Wild East's Saloon. After introducing herself to the main character, Clover, she tells them to entertain North Star and she will figure out a way to let them leave. Ceroba will usually be found during and after North Star and the Fiesty Five's hijinks.

Later on, after the duel with North Star, she tells you to come with her to the Steamworks as a shortcut to the lab to find Kanako. While in the Steamworks, Ceroba reveals bits and pieces of her past to clover, albeit very vaguely.

After the Steamworks, Clover gets seperated from her as she runs away. You find out more about her husband and later on meet up with her once again after she ran, eventually fighting her. During the fight, Clover views her memories of Chujin and Kanako, revealing what happened to her daughter.



Ceroba Ketsukane is a very tragic character, I don't think I have been affected by a characters backstory in Undertale in so long but she takes the cake. She lost everything, yet she persists. She is a very memorable character to me, in fact Ceroba is one of the very few charcters that I have gotten so attached to. I am a little insane about her and the characters who are close to her like her husband, Chujin and her childhood best friend, Starlo. I hope you love her as much as I do.
